Sign in with a passkey

Updated on 3 November 2026

A passkey signs you in to the client area with your fingerprint, your face or your device's PIN, without typing a password. Your device or your password manager keeps it, and it only works on our site: a fake site can't use it.

This feature depends on your plan: if you don't see the Passkeys card in the Sign-in and security tab of your Account page, it isn't turned on for your client area.

Add a passkey

  1. Open the Account page, tab Sign-in and security, from the device you want to sign in with.
  2. In the Passkeys card, click Add a passkey on this device.
  3. Give it a name you'll recognise (« Office laptop », « My phone »), then click Continue.
  4. Your browser asks for your fingerprint, your face or the device's PIN. Confirm.

The passkey shows in the list with the date it was added. If security e-mails are turned on for your client area, you get one telling you about it: if it wasn't you, change your password and write to us.

You can register up to 10 passkeys: one per device, or a single one in a password manager that syncs it across your devices.

On the sign-in page, click Sign in with a passkey, pick your passkey if the browser offers several, then confirm with your fingerprint, face or PIN. There's no address or password to type.

Example: you added a passkey from your phone. The next day you open the client area on that phone, tap Sign in with a passkey, put your finger on the reader: you're on your home page.

Remove a passkey

In the Passkeys card, click Remove next to the passkey. It no longer signs you in here. Delete it from your device or password manager too, so it stops offering it.

Good to know

  • Your password still works: a passkey is one more way in, not a replacement.
  • If you turned on two-factor authentication, a passkey confirmed with your fingerprint, face or PIN counts for both steps. A security key used without that check still lets you type your 6-digit code.
  • If your company limits the addresses people sign in from, that rule applies to passkeys too.
  • Each contact has their own passkeys: they aren't shared between colleagues.

Common questions

I lost the device that held my passkey. Sign in with your password, open Account and remove the passkey from the list.

The button doesn't show on the sign-in page. Your browser doesn't handle passkeys, or the feature isn't turned on. Sign in with your password.

I see « This device already has a passkey for your account ». The passkey already exists on this device: you can sign in with it, there's nothing to add.
