Frequently asked questions

What happens if I go past the space included?

Nothing stops: each GB past it is billed at the offer's price, pro rata to the time it is stored, on an « overage » line of the next month's invoice. You are told by e-mail at 80 % then 100 %.

And if usage runs away?

Past a cap shown on each offer, your keys become read only: you can read and delete, no longer write. Writing comes back by itself once you are under it again, or as soon as you take a larger offer.

Where is my data?

In Europe, in the region shown on each offer (Gravelines, Paris…). « 3 zones » offers spread the data over three availability zones of the region. If you handle personal data, check with your data protection officer what your obligations require.

Can I use my own domain name for the endpoint?

No: the signature of S3 requests includes the host name, so the endpoint stays the one shown in your client area. Your files can however be served under your domain by a CDN or your web server.

Is data sent out billed?

Data sent to the storage never is. Data sent out is included, unless the offer gives it a price: it is then shown on its sheet.

How do I get my data back if I leave?

With your usual tools (rclone sync, aws s3 sync…), as long as your subscription is active. On termination, the buckets and their content are deleted.
