Searching everywhere and reading your notifications
Updated on 9 October 2026
The dark bar at the top of every page holds two tools: a search box, to jump to a service or an invoice without going through the menus, and a bell that sums up the latest alerts sent to your company.
Search
- Click Search services, invoices, tickets…, or just press / on any page.
- Type at least two characters: a server name, an IP address, an invoice number, a ticket subject or number.
- Results come grouped under Services, Domains, Invoices and Support. Click a line, or move with the arrow keys and press Enter.
For example, typing "203.0.113" finds the VM that carries that address, and typing an invoice reference opens that invoice in the list.
Every word you type has to appear in the result; accents and capitals do not matter. You only get what your access covers: services and domains for technical access, invoices for administrative access, tickets for everyone. On a phone, the magnifier in the top bar opens the same box.
The small Search… box at the top of the left menu is something else: it only filters the menu entries.
Sorting a table
In the client area's tables (Docker containers, DNS records, a VM's firewall rules, website errors, per-domain statistics, application rankings…), click a column title to sort the rows by that column. An arrow shows the sorted column and its direction.
- A second click reverses the order.
- A third click goes back to the table's own order.
The sort stays in the page address, so it is kept when you reload the page or share the link. For example, in the website errors, a click on Level groups the most serious errors.
On a VM's firewall, rules apply in the order of the # column. While another sort is active, the arrows that move a rule are greyed out. Go back to the table's own order to use them.
The notification bell
The bell lists what your alert channels received over the last 14 days (20 items at most): a service going down and coming back, a maintenance announced, an invoice, and so on. A dot marks what is new since you last looked. Opening the list resets the counter, and that "already seen" mark is kept in this browser only.
Technical contacts also get a red line at the top when ongoing problems have not been taken in hand yet, and an Alert settings link to the channels.
Good to know
- The bell stays empty until an alert channel is set up. It then says "Events are listed here once an alert channel receives them." with an Add a channel link.
- Billing events go to administrative contacts and the others to technical contacts, so everyone sees their own.
- The list refreshes by itself every minute.
