Put a site online with a domain name and a VPS
Updated on 3 November 2026
To put a site online you need two things: a domain name (the address, for example mysite.com) and a server that shows the site. A VPS is a server of your own, with its keys in your hands. Here is the whole path, from the order to your site online.
1. Order the VPS and the domain together
- On our website, open the VPS page and click Order under the offer you choose.
- Choose your country, the billing cycle and the system (Debian or Ubuntu are good to start with).
- Click + Add a domain name, type the name you want, click Check, then Add next to a free name.
- Click Continue to my client area.
You can also start from a domain name: the domain's order page offers + Add a VPS.
2. Create your account and confirm
In the client area, click Create my account, open the link you get by e-mail, choose your password and click Open my account. You come back to your order: give the domain holder's address, then click Confirm the order.
3. Pay
Click Pay online now: by card in dirhams, with PayPal in euros, or by bank transfer. A « Payment received » e-mail is your receipt. The My orders page (under Billing) then shows where your order stands.
4. Receive your services
An e-mail tells you as soon as each service is ready. The domain shows in Your services from the order on, marked « being registered ». The VPS shows there once delivered.
5. Sign in to your VPS
- Open your VPS in Your services.
- On the Your VPS card, click Show the password, then Copy.
- Click Copy the SSH command, paste it in the Terminal (PowerShell on Windows) and paste the password when asked. Nothing shows while you type: that's normal.
6. Point your domain to your VPS
On the domain's page, the Your site block of the Domain management card offers Point to this VPS…. Confirm: your domain and its www lead to your VPS within minutes, or a few hours if its name servers change.
All that's left is installing your site on the VPS (a web server such as nginx, then your application) and an HTTPS certificate, for example with Let's Encrypt.
Good to know
- The client area's home page recalls these steps in the Get the most of your client area panel, and crosses them out once done.
- If you're stuck at a step, open a support request from the service's page: we see which service it is about.
- For each step in detail, see « Order a new service », « Your VPS: sign-in details and reinstall » and « Manage a domain name ».
