First steps

Welcome to Atlas Hoster, and thank you for entrusting us with the hosting of your website. You are joining thousands of other clients and a community of webmasters and enthusiasts who actively develop their websites.

Before you can use your hosting account, please make sure you have received by e-mail:

1. Your access details for your hosting account (including the hosting console called cPanel, and FTP and e-mail access). These details are sent to you in an e-mail titled "Your new web hosting plan for yourdomain.com". Print this e-mail and keep it in a safe place so that you can refer to it later.
2. Your credentials for the Client Area. The Client Area lets you pay your invoices, contact technical support, change your contact details, display a list of your services, use our affiliate system, and much more!
3. A domain registration confirmation (if you also ordered a domain name). Your account should be created after a check by an Atlas Hoster agent, generally within 12 hours of your online payment (allow several days for non-automated payments by cheque, bank transfer or Western Union). Domain names can take up to 48 hours to propagate across the networks of the Internet (in the meantime you can use your account with the permanent addresses given in the welcome e-mail). For domain transfers, it can take up to 7 working days, depending on your former registrar's response time. If you did not order your domain name from us, make sure you follow the instructions in Domain name configuration (DNS) before continuing. You can check that your domain name works correctly by pointing your web browser to your domain. If you do not see an Atlas Hoster page telling you that your site is correctly configured, you need to wait a little longer!
