Lost or forgotten password (Client Area, cPanel, Webmail, FTP)

This article describes how to recover or reset a lost or forgotten password for the following systems: 1. Client Area 2. cPanel (or main FTP/SSH account) 3. Webmail 4. secondary FTP account or subdomain. 1 - Client Area. If you have forgotten your password for the Client Area, you can have it sent to the e-mail address registered on your account. If you do not have access to your main e-mail address, please contact a technical support agent by telephone. 2 - cPanel. You can change your cPanel password by following these instructions: 1. Sign in to the Client Area 2. Click My Products/Services 3. If you have forgotten it too, note the Username under the Login details heading 4. Under the same heading, click the Change password link 5. Enter the new password twice and click Update 6. You can now sign in to cPanel by clicking cPanel Login. 3 - Webmail. 1. Sign in to cPanel 2. Under E-mail Management Tools, click Add / Remove E-mail Accounts 3. Under Current Accounts, find the row of the e-mail account concerned, click the drop-down menu on the right titled Please choose an action and choose Change password 4. Enter the password twice to confirm the change 5. Reminder: your username for a webmail login is your full e-mail address! 4 - Secondary FTP accounts. 1. Sign in to cPanel 2. Under the Files heading, click FTP Accounts 3. Under Account Management, find the row of the FTP account concerned, click the drop-down menu on the right titled Choose an option and choose Change password 4. Enter the password twice to confirm the change 5. Reminder: your username for a connection to a secondary FTP account must always end with @yourdomain.com (replace yourdomain.com with your own domain name). Example: accountname@yourdomain.com. Please note that only the holder of a hosting account, or a contact approved by the holder, may place a password change request through a technical support ticket.
