How do I create a new hosting account for my clients?
Updated on 3 November 2026
1. Sign in to WHM with your reseller username and password 2. If you have not done so yet, create a plan (called a package) by clicking Packages > Add package 1. Give the package any name 2. Enter the disk space and bandwidth limits 3. You can keep rvskin in the cPanel Theme field (it is the multilingual interface, so it is recommended) 4. Click Add 3. Under Account Functions, click Create a New Account and: 1. Give the domain (Domain); the username (Username) is then entered automatically 2. Give a secure password (Password), or use the Generate Password > Use Password button to generate a very secure password automatically 3. Enter your client's contact e-mail address in the Contact Email field. The system will send messages to this address if there are ever problems with the account (example: the bandwidth limit is almost reached or exceeded) 4. Choose the package (Package) associated with this account (it is the package you created in step 2.1 of this procedure) 5. Untick the CGI-BIN and/or FRONTPAGE option if these options are not needed 6. Click Create and the account will be created (unless error messages appear while the account is being created). 4. Once the account is created, make sure you configure the domain's DNS so that they point to your server. Our DNS are: * ns1.web-dns1.com * ns2.web-dns1.com * ns3.web-dns1.com 5. Once the DNS are correctly configured and the account created, your site will be reachable through the domain after a propagation period that can last up to 24 hours. After this propagation period, your client can access their services with the username and password given in the previous steps, using the following links (replace [domain.com] with the client's domain name): * FTP: ftp.[domain.com] * Webmail: www.[domain.com]/webmail * cPanel: www.[domain.com]/cpanel
