Installing the portal on your phone and getting notifications

The client area installs like an app on your phone or computer, with no app store involved. Once installed, it can show your alerts as notifications, even while it is closed.

Install the portal

1. Open the client area in your phone's browser and sign in.
2. Use your browser's "Add to Home Screen" feature (on iPhone, in Safari: the Share button; on Android, in Chrome: the three-dot menu).
3. From then on, open the portal from its "Atlas Hoster" icon.

It opens full screen, like an app. Nothing is stored on the device: everything is read live.

Turn on notifications for this device

1. Go to Account (your account menu, top right), tab Profile.
2. In the Notifications on this device panel, click Turn on on this device.
3. Accept the browser's permission prompt.
4. Click Send a test: a notification should show up within seconds.

The panel lists every device of yours that receives this company's notifications, with the date of the last one sent. The bin icon removes a device; Turn off on this device stops the one in your hand.

Choose which alerts become notifications

Turning on the device is only half of it. A technical contact also needs a channel of type Push notifications (your devices) in Alerts, with the events it should carry. That channel sends to every device your company's contacts have turned on.

Good to know

• On iPhone, notifications only work once the portal is installed on the home screen. In plain Safari the panel says "This browser cannot receive notifications."
• If you refused the permission by mistake, allow it again in your browser's site settings (the padlock next to the address), then click Turn on on this device again.
• Tapping a notification opens the portal on its home page.
• Devices are set per company: if you are a contact of several companies, turn the device on for each of them.
