Changing the MX records configuration (advanced)

MX changes are recommended for advanced users only.

An incorrect handling of MX records could cause delivery problems for your e-mails.

To change the MX records:

1. Sign in to cPanel
2. Under E-mail Management Tools, click MX Entry
3. Under Change an MX record, choose the domain concerned in the drop-down menu, set the priority (a lower number means a higher priority), and give the destination address
4. We advise against ticking Always accept local mail even if the primary MX does not point to this server when an external MX is used
5. Click Change and you are done
