Making a backup

You can make a backup of your website by following these steps:

1. Sign in to your cPanel.
2. Go to 'Backup', under 'Files'.
3. Click 'Download or Generate a Full Backup'.
4. Choose which method you want to use: copy the backup to an FTP server, or to the home directory of your current account. If you do not know which to choose, the first option (Home Directory) is usually the best one.
5. Enter an e-mail address if none has been selected already.
6. Fill in the following questions only if you chose to make the backup on an FTP server.
7. Click 'Generate Backup'.

You have now successfully made a full backup of your cPanel account. cPanel will send you an e-mail when the backup is complete. You can then download the backup from the server to your local computer by FTP.
