Creating and managing e-mail accounts
Updated on 3 November 2026
Every hosting plan lets you create and use one or more e-mail accounts. The number of accounts allowed is shown in your cPanel, in the left-hand menu of the main page (among other statistics and information).
To create a new e-mail account:
Sign in to the cPanel administration interface
Click "Add / Remove e-mail accounts" (under E-mail Management Tools)
Click the small text link in the centre of the page, titled "Add account"
Enter the following:
- Account: this determines your e-mail address. Example: if you enter "admin" and your domain name is "domain.com", your e-mail will be: "admin@domain.com".
- Password: make sure you enter a secure password! NB: we recommend a password of at least 8 characters, containing digits and letters.
- E-mail account quota: if you want to limit the disk space given to this e-mail account, you can set the limit here, in megabytes.
- NB: an e-mail account with a limit of 250 megabytes, for example, can no longer receive further e-mails once that limit is reached.
Please note: it is very important to check the usage of your e-mail account (under Add/Remove e-mail accounts in your cPanel) and to empty your mailbox from time to time, to make sure you receive all your mail. You can delete e-mails with the Webmail interface.
Click "Create" and take note of your new username and password.
If an error occurred while your account was being created, it is shown on this page. That's it, your account is created! You can start receiving and sending e-mails from this account with the Webmail interface, or with a program of your choice such as Outlook.
